A Superb Example Of An Ancient Roman Bronze Cupid With Patera And Jug, c.1st-3rd Century AD.

The figurine is of a naked Cupid or putto in a seated pose. His right arm is held high, bent at the elbow as of resting on a support, and he holds a small jug or container. The left arm is close to the body and also bent at the elbow. He holds a plate or patera in his left hand and the left leg is hooked over the right ankle in a typically relaxed seated position.

Measures 4.5cm x 3cm x 5.5cm (figure) and plinth is 3.2cm x 2.1cm x 3.6cm
